Help Haiti Hope
The Wayuú Tayá Foundation has commissioned a special symbol of hope to raise money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The Help Haiti Hope symbol has been specially designed by Wayuú Tayá board member and jeweler Judith Kupperman and features the letter "H" in a gold finish with a green silk band or a silver finish with a brown band that can be worn around the neck or wrist. It can be either worn as a bracelet or a necklace. They are available for $10 through this website.
Aside from production, shipping and handling costs (approximately 20 percent), all proceeds raised through The Wayuú Tayá Foundation's Help Haiti Hope campaign will be used by The Wayuú Tayá Foundation to provide humanitarian relief to the most vulnerable victims of this terrible disaster: the children. Inspired by its own own hugely successful “Tepichi Talashi” schools in Venezuela, The Wayuú Tayá Foundation will use the proceeds from the sales of "H" necklaces and bracelets to fund the building and long term operation of an orphanage and school in Haiti. Tepichi Talashi literally means “Happy Child” in the indigenous Wayuú language. With your help and our efforts, The Wayuú Tayá Foundation will provide hundreds of Haiti's new orphans a place of safety and love - and the chance of a healthier childhood and brighter future.

"We have all been shocked and moved by the terrible
images of the Haitian people and their suffering. This
is a very simple but effective way to show that we care
and are wearing our 'H' with pride in solidarity with
them."
